The CIES Football Observatory has developed a robust approach to measure the performance of players on an objective basis (methodology). The values presented refer to the last 1,000 minutes played at big-5 league level using data provided by OptaPro. The general performance index is computed from the statistics of players in six areas of the game: rigour, recovery, distribution, take on, chance creation and shooting.
