Since 2013, the CIES Football Observatory has developed a statistical model to assess the transfer value of professional football players on a scientific basis (see notably this paper in the peer review journal Economies). This tool provides access to the estimated value of players in Europe’s big-5 under a scenario with a contractual duration of at least three years. Precise values according to actual contract durations for >30k players from >70 leagues worldwide are available through a paid platform.
